Welcome to Day 4 of the Watercolour Wonder Mini-CourseIn this lesson, we will bring together everything we’ve learned from the previous sessions, including our watercolour skills from painting the blooms of Wonderland and designing our Alice characters. To add a touch more storytelling and fun, I’ve included the Cheshire Cat in the mix! As always, you can choose to follow along with my demonstration or break away to create your own unique version.

Get ready to paint Alice’s adventures together!

You Will Need

  1. Watercolour Paint: 3 Primary Colours: I’ll be using warm primaries—Winsor and Newton Cerulean Blue, Cadmium Red, and Cadmium Yellow.

  2.  Watercolour Paper: A sheet of watercolour paper: I’m using a Bockingford watercolour pad, A4, 200gsm, cold-pressed.

  3.  Watercolour Brush: I’m using a number 6 round sable watercolour brush.

  4.  Palette: For mixing colours.

  5.  Vessel for Water: A container to hold clean water.

  6.  Paper Towel: For mopping up excess water.

  7. Outline: Outline your illustration. I’m using a graphite pencil, but you can use a fine liner, a dip pen or coloured pencils.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure through the wonder of watercolour! I hope you’ve enjoyed exploring your creativity and have found inspiration in our time together.

If this is where our journey ends, I greatly appreciate your participation. However, if you’re excited to continue your exploration, I would love for you to join me in the full 4-Week Watercolour Wonder course, where we can dive even deeper into this medium.

I look forward to seeing more of you!

Warmest wishes,
Nina 🌟
